Challenge #312-#313 - Anything Goes

Welcome by, everyone!  It's hard to believe that it's already December and that Christmas is just a few short weeks away.  We realize that this is a very busy time of year, so we are especially grateful that you take time to share your wonderful cards and projects with us.  We have our primary 2017 sponsor, Simon Says Stamp, sponsoring their last challenge with us.  We have oodles of FABULOUS new sponsors lined up for 2018 and I will be posting all our sponsors at the beginning of the new year.  But for right now, we are so grateful to have Simon Says Stamp offering a $25 Gift Certificate to one lucky participant for this challenge.

The scripture for this piece of word art is Luke 2:12, and it's interesting to think about the fact that as the angels proclaimed the birth of Jesus Christ, they appeared with this message to shepherds watching their flocks in the fields.  What a blessing to know that God sent these angels to simple men...doing simple jobs.  This message didn't come to a king, or to the owner of the largest business in all of the nation.  God speaks to common people - like you and like me.  We are never "too low" or too common for Divine visits from God, and He can speak to us at any time and in any place.  When we have an honest calling and God is in the center of our lives, He will always speak to us and give us the messages He wants us to have.  But, like the shepherds who heard from the angels, we have to remain open to hearing what God is telling us and remain willing to act on His messages.  In this case, the message was about the arrival of Jesus Christ; God in human flesh.  But as always, the praise goes to God.  Let's all remember that God still speaks to us today, and that we need to be always ready to hear Him when He does.  We also need to always remember to PRAISE HIM for who He is, for what He does, and for loving us enough to care about communicating with us.

As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.  Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!

Anything Goes - Challenge #310 - #311

Welcome by today, everyone.  We have another really fun challenge for you all, we have some awesome prizes to talk about, a beautiful piece of word art, and some lovely inspiration from the Design Team.  Let's get started by looking at the beautiful scripture that gives us our new piece of word art.

The scripture for our word art is Colossians 3:17 which says, "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him".  This encouraging verse reminds us that EVERYTHING we do should be done to the glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  You see, if we're living our lives so that everything we do brings Him glory, then we are living out His perfect will and doing that which makes us a reflection of Him....in His image.  Let's all keep in mind that our actions, choices, and lifestyle should all be carried out in a way that will bring glory to God.  When we keep this in the forefront of our minds as we go about our daily lives, we are far more likely to live the way He would want us to live, and we are seeking to manifest His behaviors in our own.  This honors Him and allows us to thank Him through every action of our lives for ALL that He has done for us.
Challenge #308-#309 - Anything Goes

Welcome by for a brand new challenge.  We're so glad you're here, and we hope that you are having an awesome week.  Please help us welcome our November Guest Designer, Dottie Seubert, and our newest Design Team Member, Sue Blamey.  I'm sure they would love to have you stop by their blogs to say hello and welcome them.

The word art for this challenge is from 1 Chronicles 16:34 which says, "Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His mercy endureth forever".  This is pretty straight-forward.  We should remember every day to thank the Lord for His goodness and love.  He is deserving of our honor, respect, thanks and praise.  This should be something we do every single day.....simply taking the time to say "THANK YOU, LORD".  His mercy endures (lasts) forever.  That simply means that what He did for us on the cross is an eternal gift that can never be lost or taken from us.  Once we've accepted His precious gift (salvation), it is secure for time and all eternity and we can never lose it.  That alone is reason to thank Him every day.  I hope that you will be mindful each day of His blessings, His love, and His eternal gift to us.  God came to this earth (became human flesh in the Person of Jesus Christ) and was the perfect spotless lamb sacrificed to fulfill all Old Testament prophesy and make a way for us to spend eternity with Him in Heaven.  All we have to do is call on Him, accept His gift, and it can never be taken from us.  Thank you, LORD, for this precious gift and for loving us SO much!

Challenge #306 - #307 - Anything Goes

Welcome by!  We are SO glad you're here, and we hope that you will join us for another fun challenge.  We have two awesome sponsors, a beautiful piece of word art, and lots of great inspiration waiting for you.

Our word art for this challenge is 1 Timothy 1:12 and it was written by Paul.  He was thanking His precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for enabling him (equipping him) and counting him faithful (seeing his potential to serve Him with his whole life) to be a part of the ministry and to share the Gospel with the world.  We are blessed, in this day and age, to have those in our lives who, much like Paul, are enabled and found faithful by Jesus Christ to serve in the ministry.  I encourage you to print out this verse, make a card with it, and send it to someone who is either in the ministry, or someone who has made a difference for Christ in your life.  It's a great verse to use as an encouragement for those who offer their lives for the service and glory of God.  Don't forget that YOU are also called to live your life for the Lord Jesus Christ, and never underestimate your impact on those around you.  Live each day for Him, and thank Him for equipping you to do what you are called to do.  His grace is ALWAYS sufficient.
